Default Leaker update

Just got off the phone with service advisor......the seal between the engine and tranny is leaking.....engine has to come out.......cant believe this is a 2 year old vehicle......i guess i got a vehicle assembled on a friday or monday.....advisor said the leak is near the rear main seal, which made it difficult to see. I wonder what this job will cost GM? Has anyone else heard of this happening?

Sorry to hear about the issue with your vehicle. Please keep us posted on the repair. Feel free to contact us but if you do send a PM, please include the VIN#, your name, situation, contact information, dealership, and current vehicle mileage. I hope this is resolved quickly and satisfactorily for you.

Regards,

Matt

Thanks Matt........car will go back on monday for about 2-4 days.....their master tech will do this job. Seems to be the seal between the lower and upper sections of the engine.....and it is a permatex seal, which will have to dry, reassembled, then be tested again. Its ashame....nice car, but has been in garage 3 times in the past year for issues not including maintanance. Will never buy a GM again.

Car was built in Canada in January 2011.......the first month Buick started buliding there......explains somewhat why this car has issues.

My car was built in Germany, trans in China, and the engine in the US. If you have seen my posts. I have had numorous problems with my Regal as well and only has 18,000 miles on the clock. They (dealer with help from GMtech) have been able to cure them. Just irriatating to keep having to take the car back. I too think I will look elsewhere for a replacement when the lease is up in about 9 months. GM does not seem to still get it. We expect quality cars for our money and if that means going to Toyota or elsewhere so be it. I'm tired of owning a garage mans companion.
