Ordering spare tire for GS

I just picked up my spare tire for my GS. I had to order pieces as it does not come in a kit. I took the compressor kit out of the styrofoam holder and put it in the pocket in the trunk on the drivers side with the small net. My cost with tax was $333.08.

If any one is interested the part numbers are as follows:
11611908 plastic nut to hold the wheel down
13235015 wheel
12504505 jack
22787725 styrofoam container
22787726 wrench
TP10240000 tire
414 Valve
A picture of the pieces is on page 10-87 of the owners manual. You do not need all of the parts pictured. the wrench is loose, I just wrapped it in an old tshirt and it does not rattle.the tire is very secure in the trunk and does not move.

Is the wheel specific for the GS, or is it just the regular Regal spare? ...the reason I ask is if it isn't GS specific, it probably won't fit over the front brakes.

spare tire

It is not GS specific, it is for the Turbo, Dealer says it will fit.
You raise a good point. Does anyone out there know if it will fit or not?

I would be highly suspect that it does not unless it is 18-19" or has a very deep spoke to fit around the brake caliper, that is probably why it was not included from the factory. You could always pull the wheel off and test fit. Worst case if you get a flat in the front you move the rear wheel to the front and put the spare in the back, which you are technically supposed to do anyway

gs spare

thank you, that is a good suggestion. I really do not want to be without a spare. A compressor is worthless in a blow out or a cut tire. I have another question into Buick to see if it fits. I tried 3 times already and got no answer.

The manual says the owner is responsible for having a properly inflated spare. I guess you get a tow with roadside assisstance and no spare.I will have roadside assisstance do the tire changing iof it does not fit the front.

unfortunately they do not have run flats. That's why i was hoping to find a spare solution. As far as fix a flat; you have to be careful which you use, they can damage the TPMS. I image the one that comes STD in the GS is the only one GM wants you to use. It's also a one time use with an expiration date.
