GS T-Type |
I have always run Super/Pemium in my vehicles, and it what I currently run in my '12 GS - especially since it's been tuned (GM/Buick Stage 1 kit...). As for mileage, I dont know the specific numbers. But I CAN tell you the I can go from Albany, NY to Providence, RI and back on a full tank... |

Alfred8100 | Both are good but I mostly preferred premium. Certain two facts on this page are unequivocally the best we have all had. I am currently using 30.5 MPG. |

mluick | Using regular unleaded in my non turbo 2.4L regal I'm getting 31-32 MPG on the highway and 25 around town thats with summer blend fuel. I started using non-ethenal fuel unfortunately it's only sold as a premium fuel so it's 1$+ from the regular. Slight increase in milage. Regular grade winter blend fuel the highway milage is 28-29MPG around town 21-22. The car has 15K on it so I use the non ethenol fuel to minimize water contamination when its sitting for extended periods. |

No I have not noticed any knocking. But then, I had another issue where there was some chirping/squirrel type noise - similar to the old loose fan belt sound - that I could only hear with the window rolled down. Im also told that the computer adjusts the timing so there isnt an issue. The car runs fine. Ive test drove both the GS as well as the ATS and I do like the boost in power. If I had the extra power then Id run premium. |

Hitman1970 | Premium fuel here. Just got 30.5 MPG average on a 1200 mile trip to Massachusetts and back this weekend. I could never get number like that using Regular. |

Not true, ethanol is in premium fuel also the EPA has allowed the gas companies to increase the ethanol content from 10% to 15%. You can buy non ethanol premium gas if you can find a service station in your area that sells it. Unfortunatley it costs about $1 dollar more than the ethanol content premium. gary9648 | My 2011 2.4L reccomends 87 octane and that is what I use. I would not use higher grades than reccomended because it will not improve the performance and it will certianly drain the wallet faster. I have used 87 for 18,000+ miles with no knocking. Use a top tier brand of gas. I get about 22 mpg around town and 30-32 mpg on long highway trips. |

TKR7 | I usually use 89 octane. Did a couple hundred mile trip this weekend and used 93 octane. Didn't notice any diffference in performance, but I don't drive the car hard. Only have 1400 miles on the car, so still waiting for it to loosen up. I do really enjoy driving this car. Excellent handling response, decent stopping, quite cabin, great sound system, nice body lines. A little more get up would be nice, but overall, very impressed so far. |
