hey guys JUST JUST JUST bought a regal gs and the obd port is not powering on? is there a fuse that runs power to it located in this vehicle and where? thanks OH n wich one? Reason i ask is engine light is on and i want to scan it, i own one of the lil bluetooth obd readers that connects to your phone and when i plug it in nothing no lights and it dosnt power on.

UPDATE: just checked pin 16 and i got power at the port....hmmmmm intresting

disregard this....my obd reader is pooched...tried it in the new 2020 jeep and dont power on there also

Some vehicles power the OBD2 port from the cigarette lighter fuse.

I've seen several cars where the fuse was blown because the owner tossed spare change into the ashtray and missed.
