My serp belt blew off this morning on my way into work. Looks like the smooth tensioner pulley siezed and broke off. Serp belt is wrapped around my pass side wheel. Question. Can the car still be driven without this belt on the car? It doesn't look like it's driving anything else but, i wanted to make sure. Other than performance, will it effect anything else? Thanks!

Yes, just be sure belt isn't entwined with the other belts or the wheel.... Replace the tensioner and new belt, should be good to go... had this problem on a 97 on a 5,000 mile trip...drove about 250 miles til I could parts replaced.
