Anyone had issues with the brake pedal and or parking brake not disengaging on their Buick Regal 2011 CXL?

I have a Regal CXL Turbo 2011 which GM brought in from Germany, since the North American production lines weren't in place at the time of purchased.

Problem I'm referring to happened twice in the last 96hrs. First time I brought it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Just happened again (48hrs after initial event) and had roadside assistance bring the car to my dealer.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem and what was the outcome.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

I noticed my brakes act up in hot weather, the pedal goes further to the floor and it doesn't coast very well

I am having a braking problem with my 2011 Regal CLX Turbo as well although not exactly the same as yours. My brakes are not releasing when the temperature in the engine compartment is high. The only time this happens is after driving a long distance or after prolonged idling. The engine temperature remains stable but I believe the high temps in the engine compartment are one of the root causes. The brakes do not release fully and the brake pedal gets higher and has no free-play. The cruise control quits functioning and acts like it will not engage due to the brakes being applied. There is mild blueing of the brake rotors. You can open the hood to cool off the engine compartment and the brakes and cruise function will return to normal. The car is at Northwest Chevrolet/Buick in Bellingham Washington for repair but the technicians can not repeat the problem. I can only speculate that there may be a problem with the spool in the master cylinder not releasing pressure in the brake lines and temps causing the fluids to expand causing brake engagement. Anyone have a simular problem? I can't trust the car until I can get this fixed.

I did have this problem and unfortunately my transmission went out not long after. I had it rebuilt and haven't had another problem with it. That's the only time it's done it though.

If you can't get it to release while you are pressing the brake then you should have the transmission filter at least checked and cleaned or add some fluid. The first time I only needed fluid.

2011 Regal Brake Sticking - RESOLVED

I am new to this forum and just bought a used 2011 Regal with 35k miles on it. I had the same problem with the brake pedal sticking and not fulling coming back up after depressing. At one point, the battery died since the brake lights stayed on after I parked the car for a few days. The resolution was that the brake pedal assembly had to be replaced. I was surprised that this was not a recall from GM once I did some searching and found other people with this same problem, but the GM said that there was no recall for this issue. The part cost about $100 but the labor takes 4-5 hours, so the overall replacement could be over $800 depending on the labor rate. This is the fix and there have been no sticking issues since it the new part was installed.

I also have this issue. I purchased the car a month or so ago off an older couple and it only has 21000 miles. Seeing this is a issue already will Buick stand behind their cars? My pedal stays down far enough that the cars antilock brakes sometimes pulse while driving. This going to ruin my brakes and likely my rotors if it doesn't cause a wreck.

I am wondering if you ever figured out what was wrong with the 2011 Buick regal? I am having the exact same problem right now.

I had to replace the entire brake pedal assembly in my 2011 Regal made in Germany in July of 2018 because the brake pedal would not return. This was especially true in very hot weather. Now, 3.5 years later, the pedal assembly is starting to bind again. This part is clearly defective from the factory. The car is undriveble when the brakes bind. They should all be recalled and the part should be improved.
