Greetings to One and All,

I could use some advice and really appreciate any help you can give me.

I just had to swap out the wiper/washer switch on my 94 Regal. It's in the steering column behind the airbag. The harness has a ribbon cable with wide plastic connector with about 10 wires. The cable feeds through the steering column and goes under the dash to a big black plug-in-style connector that is to the right of the steering column.

The big black plug-in connector is a male/female plug with the wiper/washer switch wires, turn signal wires and a lot of other wires that plug into it. There is a screw in the center that secures it once you get it plugged in.

It's very hard to plug this thing together. Is there a latch, lever or some trick to getting it properly seated before tightening the screw in the center of the plug?

Many Thanks!
