Has anyone here tried to add optional equipment to a 1998-2003 Regal that it didn't have when it was new?

What I have in mind is the heated seats and the Driver Information Center.

The way I see it, the seats should be fairly straight forward as long as I can get the additional wiring. I'm not sure if the DIC is contained solely within the instrument cluster or if there is something else.

Any insight is appreciated.

I swapped in the better DIC (Drivers Info Center) on my 2001 Grand Prix years ago. I had to splice in some wires, but it wasn't difficult work. It worked perfectly. I will look for the details this weekend.

I got my info from other members on this forum site -> Welcome to Grand Prix Net; your best source for Pontiac Grand Prix information.

But I noticed the site is having issues right now.

When you get the "new" DIC, make sure it has the pigtail with ample wire lengths. You will have to cut off the existing connector (if you don't currently have it hiding with your wiring harness) and splice in the wires.
