Auto headlights

Hello all,

Is there a way to turn off the headlights from constantly turning on and off depending on how bright it is outside. If I turn them off manually the LED daytime running lights turn off as well which I don't want to happen.

I don't like the fact that they turn on when it's still daylight out and when you hit a patch of sun they turn off and the cycle continues.

Thanks,
Steve

Hello audiophile1970,

I'm sorry that you are having this concern with your vehicle. However, the daytime running lamps are a safety feature allowing others to see the front of your car during the day. I did not find a way for you to turn them off. Maybe someone else in the forum has an answer or remedy that will give you the desired results you're looking for.

Hi Marlea,

I didn't want to turn off the daytime running lights.. I wanted to turn off the automatic sensor that keeps turning on and off the headlights. On my drive into work each day the headlights turn on and off about 10 times which I feel will wear out the headlights and ballasts if I allow it to continue but from what i have read you have to turn off the "automatic headlight" feature manually each time you start the car. I'd like the daytime running lights to remain on regardless if the headlights are on or off.

That would be a nice feature. I wish there was some type of update for this.
