Hey everyone,

I have a 2011 Regal non-turbo, cl 4 package.

I am getting 2 noises that I was wondering if anyone else has:

1. Clunking noise on front passenger side when going over small bumps. Sounds like something is loose, I just can't poinpoint where

2. When going over 30 my car makes a whirring noise, sounds like bearings but it doesn't get louder as I increase speed

3. Tranny stumbles in reverse sometimes

I only have 700 mils on it, bought it roughly 1 month ago.

Any advice/input?

My Regal T04 has that same sort of clunking noise coming from the passenger side. I dropped it off at the dealership this morning to have them take a look. Service advisor took a ride with me so he could hear the noise. Which is a good thing becuase he heard it too and its not me being crazy.
I'll post what happens

Update.......
The dealership says its an issue with the front passenger side strut. Unfortunetly the have to order the part but at least they found the issues.
Wow, I was just expecting that something may have been loose. Any idea what exactly was wrong with the strut? Are they replacing the whole strut? Thanks for the input and the follow up. I appreciate it.

All ther service advisor told me is "there is somethng loose in the strut" and that they were ordering a new strut. So it sounds as if they are replacing the whole thing. They had a very hard time pinpointing where the noise was coming from and had to install little mics all over the place to listen for the noise

I read somewhere that the noise from the right front strut, which my Regal had, was due to a parts tag flapping around. When my Regal was taken in for the first LOF at 5K km there was an ECM update, which was done, and while this update had nothing to do with the noise, I did not hear the noise afterwards.

Wow, your dealership went above and beyond installing those little mics! My Regal has the same noise and when I took it in 2 weeks ago(and only 300 miles on it), they heard the same noise and recommended that I wait for a service bulletin because they didn't want to start taking the dash apart and possibly create new noises. I told them I wasn't totally convinced the noise is a dash noise in the first place. Reluctantly, I left the dealership with the same problem I came in with. That's when I started researching these forums. I started on Edmunds and someone posted a thread to this forum(thank you!) about a possible solution. I have an appointment for next Thursday and I will let them know what to look for. I have my fingers crossed! I'll let you know what happens.

Did they ever fix the problem?
