i had my G8 GXP totaled in hurricane Irene in Sept and they completely paid me back for it, so i was eagerly anticipating the GS and wanted american and a stick with sportiness and practicality, so the GS was it. well they got one in at the dealer by me and put a down payment on it and should pick her up in a few days..

white diamond with all 3 options- nav, roof and 20"s

I traded my G8 GT for a 2011 CXL Turbo T05, everything but the Nav... I don't regret the change at all, except maybe 0-60

The money I'm saving in gas, wow... The HK sound system with USB for my iPhone/iPod and they were desperate to sell the car with the 2012's on the way.
Welcome to RF!
so i picked it up thurs! the car is definitely lower on power, but so much more civilized. the jerk dealership put on the front license plate bracket which i specifically told them not to and they ignored that, so i'm going to try to parlay that into tints and wheel locks, etc.. the GS mode is crazy stiff on everything but imperfect roads. the body is just pure attitude and so much better in person, if that was even possible. the brakes are great. the steering is a bit numb, but not that bad. overall i like it and hope to drive it for many many years to come...now if i could just tune it for even more power...

I'm glad you like your Regal! I have not regreted my choice for one second...
There are tunes out there for these cars. I know people have been tuning the turbo regals, the GS shouldn't be any different but all it is over the regular turbo regal is a tune. I wish I could have gotten the GS but I couldn't pass up the deal on a leftover 2011. Enjoy the car! Post up some pics! Those white GS's look amazing!
Glad to hear your initial impressions vs. the GXP. I seriously looked at the GXP, but I'm garage challenged, so it wouldn't have fit. The power difference between the two is quite large, but I just don't drive my car that hard on the street to really appreciate and justify the difference. The CTS-V was also a contender, but for me, it just wasn't worth another $28K-$30K difference.

Please give us some more updates as you roll up miles.
I was seriously looking at the G8 GXP too, but i couldnt find the color i wanted (gray) -- they all seemed to be black and red! Havent seen too many around either, pity that Pontiac folded shortly after its intro.

Picking up my '12 GS today!
