Drilled a 7/16" hole in the back to allow the RJ-11 (telephone) end connector for the Escort to go through the ash tray.

Pull the carpet back and feed the wires from the ash tray down. Use wire loom since it is close to the heater core which gets pretty hot. Just pull the carpet back.

Use add a circuit with a two-amp mini fuse on the Power 2 outlet. This is switched power and the fuzz buster will only come on when the ignition is on or the car is running. I used a self tapping screw for the ground on to the main frame. Note: remove the round fuse that comes with the Escort Direct Wire kit.

Used wire loom around the sharp edges going up the drive side pillar. Located directly above and to the left of the fuse box on the driver side.

All installed, mounted the unit with 3M body panel tape to keep it secured in the ash tray.

Mounted neatly.

Keep it stealthy and hidden.

There's my first post and the first thing I always do to a new car! I hope this helps someone else! :)
