Ok so I love the Harmon Kardon system in my TO7 but I think my center (dash) speaker has busted sounds static-y anyone had this happen? Will replace but wondered if any aftermarket speakers would work, maybe sound better. Thanks in advance-

This is the first I've heard about a speaker busting. Hopefully just a fluke. It should be under warranty I would think. How many miles do you have?
I have the same exact system in my 9-5 and it's crackling like crazy. Want to go halfzies on a 3 1/2 inch pair?
I got a harmon kardon speaker replaced under factory warranty on my 06 lacrosse cxs years ago. should not be a problem for them.

Harmon Kardon Center Speaker on Dash Busted

My 2011 Regal, which I love, has the center Harmon Kardon speaker busted making the great sound system sound terrible. Unfortunately, the car has over 50,000 miles on it. Two questions:
1. How does one access the center dash speaker? Does the infotainment unit pull out to get to the speaker?
2. Has anyone used an aftermarket speaker that has the OEM sound quality but is less likely to blow?

I am in the senior citizen category and have not played the unit at excessive, neighborhood shattering, volume levels.

The Center dash speaker is very easy to access. You can go to www.crutchfield.com to see what they suggest. I did. They only recommend the center dash speaker replacement and will have a recommended speaker as well. You will need a plastic trim removal tool to pry up the grill without damaging your dash. In addition you will need some wire cutters, crimpers, leads, and a suitable 3.5 inch speaker.

If you were doing a more extensive job you could check out www.metraonline.com and see their Buick Regal Recommendations as well. Best of luck. There is a speaker replacement thread in this forum as well if you search for it.
Thanks, I found the other thread that includes pictures and have it now. I wasn't sure how to access the center speaker.
