Hi All! '03 Regal - Elect Trunk Problem

1. The trunk release switch in the glove compartment doesn't release the trunk lock from opening

2. The trunk key opens the trunk so there is no obstruction.

3. Could it be a mechanical problem and if so how do I correct it?
