Amen! It seems that every time I visit this site, it is filled with spam. I have complained to a moderator or administrator in the past.

I used to flag them for the moderators, but I don't see any measures being taken to stop these registrations. Two or three a month I'll flag for them, but not four or five a day.

This forum is just waste of time. I am sick & tired with all these spammers around. Good bye all. If you all say Good bye then the admin may wake up and block these spammers daily!! Wake up people!!

The solution is not to block them daily, it's to block their registrations. The default forum software will not do it, it takes some research and creativity.

Not to be a whiner, but I have asked whoever runs this site to delete my account. The SPAM has gotten way out of control. Just like most of you, I originally signed up to be a part of this community to discuss topics related to the Buick Regal, NOT other products. I typically am not a person who complains, especially in the manner you read before you, but this website is a let down.

Thanks to those of you who have responded to my posts in the past and for your advice and expertise. I hope you continue to enjoy your Buick Regal, as much as I have enjoyed mine.

New users should have to have at least 10 posts to start their own thread. They can read, search and post in other threads to get a high enough count. That would limit spam. It's pretty annoying.

Well im sur moderates will clean up this forum sooner or later! i agree i have told moderate to clean it up but it still gets junked up! well sooner or later this forum will be top notch once they clean everything out!

It doesn't take that long. Once our forum software was compromised I had a solution within a day. Cut spam posts from 4-5 per day down to once per month, and those ones are from the human spammers which are near impossible to lock out.

Here's a hint: skill-testing question. Make one up for the registration page, change it every four months. Periodically prune your inactive user list and check signatures of single-post users for URL tags.
