You shouldn't be smoking in such a luxurious car anyway. It'll just ruin the interior especially the leather.

just came from the dealership to check. yes, it has what i would call a real ashtray.

I would not put a cigarette in that plastic dish and I am pretty sure it is not recommended for that either.

the owner's manual doesn't say anything about it either way. best case sceanario, assuming i love the turbo - when it finally makes its debut - would be to have a metal one fabricated to fit in the spot. the plastic piece is removable. shouldn't cost much.

I didnt know they still installed ashtrays in cars anymore. My folks have actually bought a plug for the "cigarette lighter" that says no smoking.

thanks. i have one of those that fit in the cupholder, now. in the picture for the item, i want an ashtray right next to the lighter - where an ashtray belongs. you can even see where it should be.

Didn't pay attention to the ashtray so maye the 'new ones' are different... but when Ford was still putting ashtrays in vehicles, the recent ones were plastic and they worked just fine.

I don't smoke in the cars anymore. Cleaned the headliner one day and saw how vile it was, and then started worrying about the airbag deploying and knocking a lit butt under my butt and being stuck in there.
