I have read articles over the past few months regarding some Buick dealers not getting enough Regals on their respective lots to keep up with demand. That does not seem to be the case with at least two dealerships in the city I reside.

Recently I spoke to someone who lives in the U.K. who ordered his Insignia back in early September and was recently informed it may not be until early February before he sees his Insignia. He is not alone, evidently. This is the case with many people who special order their Insignia. In some instances the customer is quoted a lead time of 4-6 weeks and then it ends up taking more than 16-weeks to receive their car. This would explain why some Buick dealers in the U.S. cannot receive Regals fast enough. I imagine this will chance once production moves to Oshawa.

One of my complaints with the Regal is that GM has advertised all-weather floor mats for the Regal and they do not yet exist. At least they are not yet available to purchase. My selling dealer does not even show a stock number for this product. I have even contacted GM regarding the all-weather floor mats for the Regal and still cannot get an answer as to when they will be available!

I'm usually not a fan of one-size-fits-all floor mats, but I bought some all-weather mats at Costco and they are awesome. I have the ebony interior, so driving in Indiana winters would do a number on the factory mats. Best part of all is that the mats were only $12.

kwatch,

Thank you for the information. Much appreciated. I am currently using the factory all-weather mats out of my previous car, a 2007 Saturn Aura. They are like new and fit pretty well. Best of all... I paid for them over 3-years ago, so it's almost as if they are free!

Since the Regal was supposed to be the Aura, you might be onto something. You can't beat almost free either.

As for demand, there were only a few on each lot in my area. I've yet to see another Regal around town.
