Rebadging an Opel Insignia OPC as a Buick Regal GS

21126 Views 18 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  fisdad_gs
Hello !

I'm french living in France (wow! lol) and ordered a few weeks ago an Opel Insignia OPC.

I would like to "rebadge" it as a Buick by changing :
- the front grill(e)
- the rear logo
- the wheels center logos
- and a few other things.

Maybe someone is interessted and could help me to find and order those parts and have them shipped to me to France. Of course I'll pay for that. Anyone interessted ?

btw1 : I hope "rebadging" really means anything
btw2 : sorry for may bad english !

Oh really ?

Till now I haven't found anything, but I haven't given up the hope to find those part somewhere ... soon or late :(
Well well

Finally I found this (see attachment) any idea where to order those parts ?
Is it possible to get/order them at a local Buick dealer ?
If someone could help I would be grateful :D

Batracien,

It appears the grill assembly illustration you provided is for a 2011 Regal CXL, not the Regal GS. The two grills are different. Since the Regal GS is still a few months away from launch, I doubt the parts will be available to the general public until that time. Your best bet would be to find a dealer and ask them where they obtain their parts. In other words, is their supplier? I don't think most retailers will be willing to order parts and then ship those parts overseas. Just my experience with car dealers.

Nevertheless, contact a Buick dealer and find out where to obtain parts. Since the GS will be built in Oshawa, Canada, I doubt your local Opel dealer will be able to order the parts. I have chatted with a few guys from Europe who drive Insignias and they each stated that parts for the Regal could not be ordered through the Opel/Vauxhall dealer network. I know even getting simple parts for my Regal is difficult.

Best of luck in your search! Please keep us updated.

Sorry I could not be of further assistance.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

In fact 1-Regal and 2-Regal GS 3-insignia and 4-insigna OPC 5-Vauxhall and 6-vauxhall VRX have all the same grill shape (there are differences in the styling but the shape is the same= and you can exchange them.

I have found all the parts I need (see checkout as an attachment) on this site :

GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts

For your needs, I send you the ENTIRE REGAL GM PARTS LIST with parts numbers as a link, I think it can help !

Now my only problem is this site does not ship internationally. If someone could accept to receive those part for me and then reship them to me I would of course pay for the shipping and all the bothering :D

Maybe you should just find someone to trade badges... !
I just got a 2012 Buick Regal GS and wanted to Debadge it and rebadge it with Opel badges, but was wondering with the front grill if you need to replace the whole grill or can you just replace the badge itself? Feels like it will come off. I was also wondering about the trunk lid badge as well. can anyone help?

The front badge is a totally different size and would not fit the Regal grille (and would look kinda weird). The rear badge is a straight-swap and can be changed in 5 minutes. I have a fairly detailed write-up of the swap a few posts below this one:

just ordered rear badge, new door sills, and front grill from the site. cant wait to get it

Ohi guys,

I am also a owner of a Opel Insignia Sports tourer OPC line, I suppose this doesn't exists in Regal only the Sedan.

But I need the star caps for my rims and the tail logo.
I can order tail logo just here in Belgium, but not for the rims, I don't know if they exists in Regal.

Also I want to change the logo in the steering wheel, but I was told that it was together with the airbag, and this is expensive off course.

So if there is anyone that can sell them to me and sent them, if you want we can do it through Ebay with a private sale so you are sure of the sell.

I can order them here in Belgium also, but very expensive.
If anyone wants Opel or Vauxhall, I can do the same.

Still nobody that wants a Opel Airbag steering wheel cover and logo?
I will send you my Buick stuff if you send me your front seats :)
Why not you go out and check out with a Buick supplier and discover out where to acquire areas. Since the GS will be designed in that area , North America, I guess your regional Opel supplier will be able to purchase taht in your areas. ?

Cooly Rocks On!

Are you still looking for this stuff? I realize these posts are years old.
