My 2012 GS started to hesitate and stall..... At first the dealer said BAD Injector #3... REPLACED..... took the car for a 10 miles ride...... same issue...

After further review..... 2 (count um) 2 cracked pistons.... cylinder walls with (abnormal wear and tear).... btw... they were #2 and #3. Not only cracked but a chunk of the side missing out of one. Almost looked burnt black. Car NEVER smoked.... and I ran Mobil 1 and Amsoil. I take care of my cars.... Never beaten.... and only 44,000 on the 2.0.

End result was NEW MOTOR......for the 2012 GS..... but Buick offered to buy the car..... and I upgraded to a 2016 REGAL Ti.

As much as I hated parting with my GS.... I'm impressed with the 2016. But I did notice the TURBO is now in the front of the engine (for cooling) instead of between the firewall and the block.

Has anyone else had any issues with pistons??
