Hi all. My name is Dan, obivously, and I work for a Buick dealership. I have been in the business for a long time. I actually met my wife when I sold her a Grand Am in 2005. I am here to keep an eye on anything to do with the Turbo Regal. I currently drive a CXL Regal and the chasis is pretty superb. I am use to VW's and this car drives and handles just like any Kraut car except it is super quiet on the inside!

I am here to help anyone also if they have questions. I won't register as a vendor or dealer, like I am on g8board.com, but if anyone needs help on service requests or vehicle history reequests let me know. I am here to help.

Anyways, cool to be here and hopefully we can help me make the fastest Turbo Regal in the states. ;)

Welcome to the site! A turbo regal eh? You mean they are going to come out with another one?
You never know with GM, but yes. If it drives the way they hype it up to be then it might make me buy one.:D

Welcome to the site. It'll definitely help that you're on here. Hows the Regal treating you so far? Any complaints about it? Better yet, anything exciting you want to share with us about your Regal?
Hm, I have put about a total of 2k miles on two Regals so far. I drove the first one pretty light and it returned a total of 21.8 MPG over roughly 300 miles all city. The second one I am driving more like I would if I owned it plus there have been quite a few hot days so the A/C is always on. It is right now getting 18.8 MPG. Saying that, I can't complain with the gas mileage with the way I drive.

Driving impressions so far... I love the rigid chasis. If you go and drive a VW Jetta, then drive a Regal you will get some very familiar feelings in the way they handle. The thing about the Regal is that it feels even more solid and well built. I really have to say I love the way it drives. I am also thinking about how it might drive with a true manual transmission in it. The handling is great and I like the thick rimmed steering wheel.

I like the deep trunk and I like the front seat leg room. That said I think they gave up too much rear room for the trunk room. I put my daughter's child seat in it and she has very little room. With her seat being set up in the middle I can see her possibly putting a foot through the rear vents by accident.

Overall it is a great car. I wish they would put more incentives on it and maybe lower the MSRP to be even more competative. With the price bracket it currently sits in, a person can come in and buy a Buick LaCrosse for a $1,000 more with the same options.

I am holding final verdict on the car until it finally gets produced in North America and I get to drive a manual transmission turbo car. The current one is perfect for a person looking at the TSX or Passat. In that segment it falls right into the right price range and size category.

Where are they getting produced? I actually thought they were being produced at one of the US factories. Also if this one becomes anything like the old 1987 Regal GNX then you'll have a lot of competition in terms of having the fastest turbo Regal.

Right now they are made in Germany then shipped over here.

...and from what I can tell I don't for see a huge aftermarket jumping onto the Turbo Regal's bandwagon. I hope I can have the title for at least a month. :)
