As anyone noticed that the turbo's are awfully quiet. Anyone tried a cold air intake or anything to see if we could get a little more sound?

Have you found a cold air intake for our cars?
No luck at all. I have searched everywhere
yeah i have been looking too. It is sad there are no parts out there.
I just just custom fab a CAI , with some 2.5" tubing and some couplings as well. As for a Turbo noise if its too quite.. just find a place to install a Blow off Valve , then you get the Turbo purge you guys want!

Did your turbo sound get louder as well as your BOV when doing the CAI? I know my last turbo car got significantly louder just from a CAI. Do you have pictures of it?

I had a 2011 Turbo (German Build) for a loner and found the turbo to be very quiet. My 2011 Turbo (N. America Build) is significantly louder and the turbo is very easy to hear... very strange as the engines are built in the same place
I've got the N. Amercian made car and can't hear the turbo.
I do hear engine knock under light acceleration...on dealer first tank of gas.

I just had to have the boost control module replaced and now the turbo is difficult to hear.

If you're getting a knock, switch to 91/93 octane gas per the owners manual. IMO a turbo should never be filled with 87 octane gas. This car will run on 87, just not very well. I switched to 93 and haven't had an issue since.
The turbo is so quiet because of the air filter. My air filter also had another layer of something ontop of the filter its self.
I can hear my turbo just fine. Esp with the window rolled down slightly. I do wish it was louder...
Do the Turbo Regals have a resignator on the intake, like the dmax diesels? I noticed more turbo sound when I pulled it off on my diesel. Of course its straight piped too :)
Would putting an intake on it void the warranty? Or would just dropping in a K&N be the best bet and would you hear the turbo more with just that? I have a HKS SSQV BOV laying around, so tempting to put on! I just don't want to mess with my warranty, once that is up its going all out!
Anyone do anything to their car to make the turbo more noticeable?

RoyalRegal, have any pics of your setup? Did it make a difference? Do you have a BOV?
I have the german built one and the turbo is very noticeable when is spools. I have a tune that has increased the boost and a K&N "drop in" intake
By installing performance brake rotors on your vehicle, braking performance will increase significantly. Of the most common designs available, slotted brake rotors perform quite well.
Stop looking guys I make cai and intercooler piping oh yeah and they are carbon fiber or Kevlar I made the first one for my girlfriends cxl but she upgraded to the gs I will post my pics soon
I have the German Turbo built too. When I replaced the manufacturer's air filter with a K&N filter, the turbo purr that was there is significantly quiet!
